A Place of Our Own

Oh my goodness... my husband and I had a crazy weekend. I keep looking back at it and thinking- did that really happen?Remember a couple weeks ago when I told you that we "unpaused" our home search for reasons I couldn't completely explain... and saw an awesome loft in the perfect location? Well that particular loft when under contract the day after we saw it. As we kept looking at homes we realized that the housing market in Denver right now is madness. Homes are staying on the market an average of like five days (days!!). So Saturday morning I was browsing the Realtor.com App (which is awesome) and saw that another condo/loft had come on the market the night before - so immediately my hubby sent it over to our realtor and asked if we could see it right away.This loft was the exact same layout as the first we saw - except it had a nicer master bath and wood floors (I love wood floors)... so we decided we would pursue it. We hadn't yet gotten our preapproval finalized- so we were hoping the loft would stay on the market long enough for us to make an offer as soon as our preapproval came through. But then our realtor called us later that day and said that there were already some offers being made on the condo and if we were serious about it we would have to make an offer without our preapproval. So we talked about it for a few hours... and at one point even said we wouldn't do just because it seemed so unlikely that our offer wouldn't be accepted. At last minute we decided that there wasn't anything to loose in making an offer, but at least gave ourselves a little tiny chance of getting the loft.Well my friends... by some crazy miracle, we got it. Our offer has been accepted and we have put the loft under contract! There was something so completely crazy about it that I believe that there was a divine hand this happening. So crazy! :)I have pictures- they're are not wonderful quality (they're from the real estate listing).

Now of course there is a chance that this could fall through as we move forward- but we have the first big hurdle down! Now we move onward!
