fresh, handmade, and lush

I bought some new makeup to try out. I'm kind of excited about it actually- its handmade and natural (with some preservatives but its pretty clean overall). It is from LUSH - who make amazing soaps and shampoos (which I'm think of trying one of these days) and they're starting to make more makeup which I was very excited about- so I scooted on over to the store in my nearby mall and was walked through the best options for starting out.

Jackie Oates : Colour Supplement - this is pretty much my foundation now. Its highly concentrated so I mix with my Yes to Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer to make a tinted moisturizer. Then I just tab a tiny bit on the areas that need more cover. It is light but covers really well... its pretty awesome. They have five different shades...  dark pink, light pink, dark yellow, light yellow, and then jackie oates (which is the one I used for my crazy pale skin). Eyes Right : Mascara - this is of course my new mascara- its black black and you get 5 grams of it (instead of the normal 1-2 grams). Its pretty standard mascara- the only thing I have to get used to is the much short wand - which I've accidentally smeared all over the place.Emotional Brillance : Transluscent Face Powder - this is just a lovely and light finishing powder that I can use to finish up my colour supplement and fight off oiliness OR I can just use it to even out my skin tone without the colour supplement for a very light and airy finish.I'm loving it so far... you should check it out! If you don't feel like changing your makeup- they have the most amazing soaps and face masks and lovely stuff.... really check them out! :DI have a wish list too... Charisma Tint/Primer (to add a natural, bronzing glow to my pale skin .... that refuses to tan), Feeling Younger Tint/Primer (to add a slight pearlized, highlighting glow for cheek bones and under tired eyes), Caca Marron Mama (to try out dying my hair without any of the harsh chemicals)... and mercy sooo many others but that's the short list for now.**Please note: I did not receive reimbursement or product for this feature.
