the world can destroy
Last night I sat home alone- my handsome husband was out with his friends for the midnight showing of the new Batman movie. I had decided to stay home because I had to work the next morning and didn't want to be running on only a few hours of sleep.I remember a little of him coming home and crawling into bed next to me at 3.30am... I'm pretty sure I mumbled something to him and fell back asleep. Had I known... the horrors the world outside had experienced I would have not been asleep... and I would have probably cried in relief of seeing him alive... and if things had gone just a little differently that night my life would not be the same as it is right now at this moment. It is hard to know what to say when these things happen.Β The world around us can be evil and it can destroy. It is heartbreaking to think of the horrors that people experiences only a few miles away from where I was sleep and just a few movie theaters away from where my husband was watching the same movie. It is sobering think that if my husband or his friend had just made one small choice differently - everything that my life is right now could be completely different. It is important to remember the beautiful tiny little blessings in your life- and to pray for and care for and reach out to those that experience the horrible things this world can bring. Please keep my beautiful state and my beautiful community in your thoughts and prayers. Please pray for the victims of the horrific shooting. And pray that we may all realize that our choices change our lives - some we can never fathom or know the outcome while other choices are about choosing to actively build the world into a more beautiful place and to not destroy it.If you are unaware of the horrific event - you may read about it here.
