Pure Brightening Serum Foundation.

2014_0730_bareskin I've been using bareMinerals for a while now- but I had started to move away from the loose powder more and more. I love their products overall and felt kind of torn because I was getting better results from bb creams (smoother coverage... longer lasting... etc). So when I heard they were releasing a liquid foundation I was intrigued to try it... but had doubts as liquid foundations are usually way way to heavy feeling on my skin.I picked up the new BareSkin Foundation from bareMinerals on a whim when I ran into Ulta for something else several weeks ago. I've been using it ever since- but foundation is a tricky thing on me so I've held off reviewing the product. I tend to break out during the first week of a new foundation no matter how awesome it is so I wanted to get well past that before made up my mind about it.Honestly... I'm in love. It has been one of the best foundations that I have ever used.Okay- so first of all I'm pretty much in love with the fact that this little bottle of foundation is silicone, oil, paraben, and fragrance free. I usually break out when I switch anything up in my makeup routine... I did not breakout at all (I mean it... not a single breakout). It is coconut-derived with jojoba, vitamin c, and lilac plant stem cells (I guess that is a good thing? lilac steam cells). Plus... it has a non-chemical broad spectrum SPF of 20.It is very light and doesn't feel oily when you put it on- even if you layer it up for the ultimate smooth, dewy complexion look (like for a special occasion). My day to day makeup only requires two drops from the bottle though. It also can last all day. I say can because you really do need a primer (this is my primer... its not from bareMinerals) and to finish it off with the mineral veil. I forgot my primer and mineral veil one day and it didn't last as long as usual, but lunch I was bare faced.Also- you have to use a synthetic brush with this bottle of amazingness. Synthetic brushes are a must for liquids... while natural brushes are rockstars for loose powder. I now use their special brush, called the Perfecting Face Brush, with it (I saved some pennies to justify it- it is $28). I do like their special brush (it has a reservoir in the middle to hold and spread the foundation and the outer bristles can then blend). I did use a this brush for a while because I already owned it and it worked just as well truly. So I would think any compact, flat, synthetic brush would work well (but I am not an expert in that exactly). I tried to just use my beautyblender at first and it just didn't work unfortunately.So...
