Summer Series Love. Web Style.
I love television and movies and plays and books and... web series. I love stories... and I love modern twists on classic favorites.Last year I discovered The Lizzie Bennet Diaries... which was my first exposure to a web series. They are small series that run (beautifully) on small budgets and will even turn to crowd funding to get their start. They are on YouTube. They are free. They are 5-10 minute episodes. They are released once or twice a week. And they are fantastic. In fact, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries won an Emmy. Yeah... An Emmy... A YouTube video series won an Emmy. They are fantastic.Emma Approved adapts the classic Jane Austen book (uhm... Emma) to modern times. Emma works as a lifestyle and love coach to those in need. Bold, stylish, and oh-so-overly-confident, she runs head first into a few struggles as she can never keep herself out of other's business.Watch Emma ApprovedThe New Adventures of Perter and Wendy adapting the classic Peter and Wendy by J.M. Barrie. Peter Pan is the twenty-something guy who won't grow up and never wants to leave Neverland, Ohio... but he only has eyes for Wendy Darling, an advice vlogger, who wants to see the world and grow up.Watch The New Adventures of Peter & WendyThe Lizzie Bennet Diaries -the one that got be hooked on web series- adapts the classic Jane Austen book Pride and Prejudice.
